Today went to settle some unfinished business.
Came to the HQ. K. I'm prepared (well haven't been driving for a week already, hrmm...) to pass this damn thing. Go one round den take number. Ulangan-s will get to do it first. So number got called and went to the pondok.
K. I failed once and I'm not going to fail something I'm certain of passing. Chose an old Kancil juz in case I got jinxed. Damn la this one the brake so cacat one... Nvm la as long as the gear can la. First one slope, the nightmare. Got to the yellow line. This time I double-checked my gear engagement. Masuk gear 1, hrmm... take out and put back in again. Den I do balancing. K got respond, release handbrake, and the car moved on. Phew! Slope test, done!
Den come parking and 3 point turn loh. This car the clutch also cacat one. The kancil i used to drive no need petrol also can move by releasing the clutch carefully. This one... Hopeless... Have to hit on the petrol la or not mati... First time in so many times use petrol to do parking and 3 point turn... Ok ok la. Nothing big happen. LOL collected the paper and I'm certified passed! Not to mention unofficially street-legal too!
Coz ulangan got to do first ma, so ended at 9.30am. Waited for other dudes to finish also around 1.30pm. Went to canteen and coincidentally met a friend, primary skool classmate la. Doin undang. Chat a bit den went back in and wait till everything gao dim den can go back.
So my P license will be out in 1 week time. Oh boy oh boy I can't wait!!!

Was trying to record the fastest time to do parking. Damn la, a lot of them other dudes parking also not yet practice den go try the track liao. Waste time waiting for them to slow slow try la...
It was so hot and boring and draggy, I left the car and walked around... I even played wit the cam.

Damn...
This week dunno why but had 3 driving lessons already, each lasting 3 hours.
Today's lesson started at 1. Normal la went thru the road test track a couple of times. Den the coach said goin to give me 'trial test'. Damn i also dunno driving test got trial one...
If it's a test it'll be conducted by another instructor, right? Walau full with mock checklist... Bugger suddenly the coach told me the real test track is different a bit one. Wut wut he say i also cannot get. So he say he will tell the instructor to help me navigate. So I told myself 'ok la, can one la, like normal only. The guy will give directions one.'
OK so the guy arrived moments later with a new Kancil (I did my lessons with an old Kancil). Coincidentally my coach went to the canteen. I thought maybe he will tell him later. Mana tau I sat inside the car liao, the guy changed into this trial test officer liao my coach was still no where to be seen. Den I thought maybe they discussed liao de loh.
New Kancil new controls. The clutch limit feels different. The pedal feels different. The gear feels different. The steering feels different. All different. It's like studying the whole year of our country's physics syllabus and suddenly given the singaporean physics syllabus to test on... (metaphor might not sound right but you get my msg). Similar but not same. So I went off with a shaky start, literally.
Everything ok one, until the part where I was supposed to turn into a roundabout and go to a desired direction. Muthafcker ah I asked the guy go where, he asked me back 'tak pernah jalan jalan ni ke?' Wut should I say? I recalled that coach said that the first is a 12 o'clock and the second is a 9 o'clock, instead of the first being a 9 and the second being a 12. So I went to the 12 o'clock direction la. Muthafcker ask where am I going. I can only go straight there den have to U-turn liao. I U-turn back den came back to the same roundabout. I asked wehther are we going back to HQ. I said nothing but a 'umm...' and pointed at another direction. Bugger you think I'm a psychic or a mind reader ah? How the hell I noe la? So I went to the direction he pointed (3 o'clock). While almost reaching the 12 o'clock junction he suddenly turn my steering wheel. Muthafcker ah... Den on way back to HQ la. Inside HQ got another roundabout one ma. I saw got car want to go den I go slow la. Bugger he ask me 'keluar, keluar'. WTF. Den I panicked den the wheel kena the divider on the roundabout la.
Stopped at the office there liao signed some stuff la. Den he said 'dik, sekarang tak boleh nak tolong ah. Nanti dik beli kupon lagi boleh tolong.' OK wut does that suppose to mean? I noe that you need to pay for this small green coupon thingy that gets attached to your form one. But then why can't he help me out during the first time? Why muz I 'beli kupon lagi'. WTF man. And of coz since it's so problematic I got a 'gagal' with a note 'langgar pembahagi jalan' and a tick at 'tidak mematuhi garisan jalan', which makes it an automatic fail. Ok this is unusual... Give me the freakin directions den I can drive la. Bugger I dun live in Shah Alam you noe. I navigate by directions, not by familiarity. You can fail me for not putting on the signal lights, but not coz i dunno the directions and I broke the rule of line (was hesitating when entering a line).
Damn....
So after that met up wit coach and went on to practice the parking and stuff. Half and hour later balik la...
If yer goin to take yer license, remember a QTI is a trial test. And make sure that you noe where to go, the REAL directions.
Damn it's a good thing this is a 'trial' test. I seriously dun wan to think that this has anything at all to do with racism or even bully. But again, which officer doesn't want to bully a chinese dude who's speaking shaky BM coz he's nervous?
I think I just need nerves of steel...

5 hours done!
Not exactly 5 hours la. Agak agak got 5 la...
So like 3 PM went to the shop there and wait. After a while the guy came den hopped on and drove off. Asked where we're goinhe said Shah Alam the HQ there. But then after a while he stopped at the bus stop. "Come, you drive." Walau... 2nd lesson and I get to drive on the road, highway summore...
Swapped places den I drove la. Wa, first time go on the road w/ traffic one, highway summore. Den got to pay the toll too! But I hate tolls la. Have to 'control' the clutch and stuff... Mah fan... Den drove all the way to Shah Alam, of coz under his navigation. Follow lane only ma. Came to the company HQ there got the track one.
Stopped at one side and he taught parallel parking. He printed this instructions on a paper for me to follow, step by step. After a while I got the trick liao den ok la. But the Kancil no power steering... Turn here and there very tiring. Damn... Practised numerous times den he said can try some other things.
Den after that went to the track and went for the whole course. First was parallel parking. That one ok la coz juz now practice liao ma. Den 3 point turn. Ok ok la. Juz a matter of eye hand coordination. Den to the slope. Damn this one i still cannot get the trick. Up the slope liao dunno wut to do. Press oil or clutch i also dun understand, only noe how to follow instructions. Den the last time he let me do the whole course w/o him. Whoa until the slope there stop tak betul. Nearly kena... "You can see or not? Reach already or not? Ah next time you see carefully." Phew...

First day of driving lesson
Today my first driving lesson. Woke up at 7 to go to the shop there at 8 and wait for the instructor. I tot chinese teach me one, mana tau muncul one indian come... NVM la...
Hrmmm... The moment we went into the car, he light up a cigarette and started puffing like a chimney. No joke. He even lowered down the windows and turned on the AC to get the smoke away. I can verify that this method is a myth...
That guy smoked all the way to the factories at Puncak Kinrara (noe the huge furniture shop beside the highway to Bukit Jalil?). I see the stick get shorten damn fast you noe... He suck in like it's his momma's candy. Within 5 minutes the whole stick gone. Stopped beside the furniture shop den he started lecturing la. Talked about the pre-drive check, the basic operations of the car and stuff. A while later he gave me 10 minutes to get used to the driver's seat. After that he came back in and started the real driving lesson.
LOL. I started the engine for my parents numerous times, but never got to drive it (once la, and that case I freaked myself out). This time i started the engine and got to drive it la. Check everything liao den twist the key. Before the car started to move, like all noobs, yes, engine went dead. Ou, clutch released too early liao. So 2nd try slowly release. The car was really crawling. Den move smooth liao hit on the pedal more. Drive into the junction and turned la of coz. Wa got cars ar (DUH). Slow slow den got used to the traffic.
We went in circles around the blocks of factories. Junction after junction after junction. After got used to the manual transmission operation liao, went to bigger circles. This time in the long straight stretch he taught change gear la. This sounds noobish but my highest gear was till 3rd gear! (EDIT: Eh Jason, I went systematic la, where got ppl 1st gear straight go 3rd gear one...) Top speed? 25 - 30 km/h. LOL.
The last thing he taught was the U-Turn. Basic la, juz turn the steering wheel until you 'entered the curve'. All in all not bad la. The steering part not much diff if you used to play racing arcade games. Hahaha whenever I wanna make a turn the guy would always guide one. Den I found out that I could make the turn easier if I was to turn it myself. Only need to get used to the whole manual thingy. The mati api part wasn't that frequent for me. Only time it happened was when I was to make the car start moving and when I was to stop the car. But first time only la. Forgot to put the gear to 'free' ma... After that the gear changing part no prob. Whole lesson 2 hours. 8 more hours to go till I go for test!
Hrmm... Ylup get prepared for the smoking part of the lesson la... Hahaha...

If you think the 5 hours of undang is long, think again...
Woke up at 7.30 to prepare. Actually nothing to prepare also, bawa badan cukup la... Ate 2 slices of bread and watched some tv before I left for amali.
Waited at the driving school for the guy to pick up. So this time we weren't to go to the previous place where I went for the 5 hour undang thing. This is time an old place at damansara (hahaha actually dunno where is it but read the wordings there la, heck around the place can only see "MBPJ"). Whoa this time I'm the only one taking amali, 3 more students are goin for undang. The amali class got a few leng lui also oh... YLup, you missed it all...
So the procedure is something like this:
- You arrive.
- You fill up a simple form.
- You have your fingerprints scanned.
- You proceed to the lecture room and sit there for 6 hours.
Well not exactly 6 hours la. The first 3 hours is something like the undang thing. Talk talk a bit la. Simple explanation about stuff on road la. The next 3 hours is the practical lecture. It's so 'exam-orientated' that they even brought in the checklist that the actual JPJ officers are going to use to give you marks.
The whole license thing consists of 3 tests:
- Bahagian I (computerized)
- Bahagian II (Slope, parking and 3 point turn)
- Bahagian III (on-the-road drive test)
Bahagain II and III are the real driving la. You'll get your L License after amali which is after you passed your bahagian I. II and III is done on the same day. Means like the candidates are divided into 2 groups, the first one do bhgn II and the other do bhgn III.
Aiks the first 3 hours is full of bull crap. The guy's funny la but it gets boring after awhile, especially when you haven't had lunch yet. Glad that it was over.
I planned wit the clerk so that I take my lessons in December. She say she'll process my L License around mid-November so that it won't expire so early.
Oh yea bad news YLup, next year onwards JPJ will test candidates on the pre-driving check. Something like check engine oil, brake oil and stuff. Have fun!
P/S: The Koo Kien Kiet/Tan Boon Heong doubles pair got back into shape! They won the Macau Open against another malaysian veteran pair, Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah 2 sets to 1.

Home alone...
Yeap. Today home alone ah at home. Initially thought this weekend got seminar, mana tau postponed. Parents and sister went back to hometown liao. So it's me all alone at home...
After some arithmetics, I decided to go listen to amali and get the L License b4 SPM, aka tomorrow. See it's like this, if I had to wait for YLup, he would only get to go for the driving test in January, in which he will be in NS (means no go). If I get my L License now, it would only take me at most until Christmas for me to get my P License! Not bad huh? See if I wait for Y Lup, I'm gonna go to the test myself, if I dun wait I also have to go myself. No diff ma... Except this amali thing la that I decided to go myself. So YLup, it's all yourself liao la...
Tomorrow Eugene and Jason and I think Yong Xin too will be going for the undang test. Hahaha Jason was all pro like that talk like sure score like that. Aduh 42 pass or 49 pass still pass right? Wish them luck dudes!
K back to my home alone thing. Hrmm actually nothing much to say also. Yesterday watched Transformers liao. Today dun feel like watching any movies. Other than my happy time, looks like I'm gonna watch footy... Dang playing footy and watching footy is so different ya noe... Watching footy is very boring... Unless you're having the big guns against the small weasels la den you can hope for a scoring frenzy. Sometimes can even see the underdog go top!
Anyone wanna sleepover? Remember to bring your own toilet roll.

Ylup read this...
Hahaha so much for exciting titles. Does it really matter?
So like, tak jadi go for amali coz have to wait after b'day. I'm wayyy past 17. YLup is not. As a friend who is willing to sacrifice for his friend, I decided to wait wit him. After SPM only continue driving lessons loh... Dun wanna bore to death listening to dude talking about engines and stuff...
Today ah... Other than lepak-ing around, playin mini-footy, mini baseball, there's nothing much to talk about la... Oh yah there's also the thing where I got to be the Honest Guy. Hahaha lazy to tlak about it la... Something to do about me getting high marks in the first place den me admitting to teacher that she counted wrongly. Recounted the marks but retained the grade, well from a 1 to a 2 la... Good enough.
Hrmm.... Cannot simply talk about stuff liao... Classmate-bloggers are on the rise. They might shoot me back... Aiks next time la...
The new emergency number is 999. Alternatively you can call 112 on you mobile (mobile only ah!).

Lulus Undang liao...
Hehehe... The first step of gettin my driving license is done. Pass undang test liao. Hahaha by a one mark margin... Phew! Y lup also pass, ngam ngam summore...
OK for you noobs that are going to take undang test in the future, this is how it is like:
First you arrive at that place (in my case is the centre opposite of seksy*n 4 skool). There you can 'try' with the computer nearby (didn't play wit it). For first timers you'll have to pay Rm10 to get your picture taken for record. Den you get in and start your test.
It's divided into 2 parts. First is the eye test. If you fail this part you cannot con't and have to consult a doctor to get your eyes checked. After that is the real test consisting of 50 questions. It's a full screen interface that is all mouse clicking. You can still change your answers before you end the test (there's a back button). After you done your test the results will be shown. 42 is the passing mark. Den the interface will ask you to go out. After a while a guy will print out the result slip (with a 'tahniah' or a 'jumpa lagi' depending on your result) and yer done.
I finished my test under 13 minutes. Y lup a bit longer la... Maybe next week go attend amali lo...

Bulatan itu berbentuk segi empat...
So like woke up at 6.45 to have breakfast wit y lup (his name will be appearing a lot in my blog) at Sri Meenas. Had tosai telur bawang. First time having something indian for breakfast and i shall say i'm not disappointed. As opposed to wut i use to see dudes having at the mamak near my skool, this one is full of onions, loads of it you'll think it's onion sandwich.
After breakfast went over to the driving skool to wait for the guy to bring us to the HQ at Bukit Kemuning. Actually dunno where la, heard them say it, anyway it's near the HUGE Proton showroom (?) with some kind of car research centre beside it one (something that sounds like 'cost management analysis centre' or something like that). It's kinda deep into an area where it's kinda of far from the city. Well it's logic coz you dun wan newbies bumping into you every now and then, duncha? The first thing that caught my eye as we approach the institute was a whole bunch to bikes turned on with it's lights on...
That little puff of smoke in the picture there is in fact the exhaust fumes from the bikes. This was a while after they turned off some of the bikes. Before that it was like smoky! BTW the area in the picture is the place where future legal rempitters were being tested. It's something like an obstacle course wit cones and a random dog coming out (it wasn't really there but we happen to notice a dog nearby at the motorcar test area).
Went into the building. Sat at the waiting area den filled some kind of form and got a book (seems like there's an official name for this thing - 'Pendidikan Pemandu' or for full 'Kursus Pendidikan Pemandu (KPP) ' ). Got into the bilik kuliah den waited summore. Den there's this process we had to go thru where we have to fingerprint something (digital lerrr). It so happened that my IC couldn't get thru (OMG...) and I have to buy (RM10) another card so that the computer can use it to enter my data. And it so happened that y lup's also couldn't get thru. And it so happened that the whole room was holding the same red card as I'm. Only a few held on to their ICs. Makes you wonder... So like the guy came in and intro-ed us to the basics of driving and the rules and the regulations and the process and the type of license and macam macam lagi la... When it was getting bored (it was boring the whole time, was like 2 hours into his talk), he said that we could take a rest and come back in a few moments.
When we got back it was another lecturer this time, a lady. Thank god this lady now knows how to give a talk. It gets quite interesting when she's explaining about the KEJARA thingy, and type of licenses (11 types man!!!) and emergency and stress management and more la. Den around 1.45pm the lecture ended. While waiting for the guy to pick us up i looked around. Then my sight laid on the motorcar test area. God damned it we have to go up a mini hill?! Sheesh...
Got back home at around 2.30. Ate the chicken rice on the dining table. I thought of doing my revision and i did, well i did 2 add maths questions on trigonometry identities. Gave up and watched some TV den came on9.
