Ok, now THIS is getting out of hand...

Wow, coincidentally one day after I talked about blog diversity, the theme spread to the media, national style.

Let's make it simple, a girl blogged about ppl cheating in a domestic exam (damn i like using the word 'domestic'). She reported the whole incident in detail, ie names of cheaters and teachers who couldn't be bothered. This caught the attention of the cheaters and they went 'mommy mommy she talked bad about me! *cries* Can we tell this to the skool please?'. So the 'rombongan peniru' went to the skool and demanded action. Then the skool, in an attempt to save the skool's name, ordered the girl to delete the related post.

Now here's the catch: the girl's a straight A scorer in PMR last year. She wouldn't need to worry about getting low marks, right? All she wanted was justice. Sorry girl, Justice Bao is just a legend. So she lost the battle of catching the cheaters, and learned that our beloved bolehland is just another place full of shit-brained ppl (if yer one of them, I DEMAND YOU TO CLICK THAT 'X' AT THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF YOUR SCREEN THIS INSTANCE! FCK YOU IF YER TRYIN TO FCK ME).

Now I don't really think that our country's internet is all that freedom-less. The one to be blamed here is the school. I'm really against schools exploiting students, in this case, they are exploiting someone who knew nothing about punishments and law. As a result of being pressured and knowing nothing about punishments/law, she had to bow to the evil forces. Really, I don't think there's a law/rule in the education ministry's rule book that states that no student shall be granted the right to talk about the school openly on the net, and I doubt its existence in the constitution too. This is by all means human rights abuse, and the school should, by all means, made to apologize to the girl.

I say let's demand freedom of speech be enforced (it's allowed, but controlled by I5A). Let's make it something like US's First Amendment (wiki it up la if you dunno. Watch Discovery la...). Seriously the gov is protecting themselves too much and they need to open up so that the country can move forward. Afterall, improvements are impossible without critiques. And this includes school trying harder to control cheaters.

EDIT: Oooo, we do have something like the First Amendment. It's called Article 10. which grants the people the same thing like the First Amendment. I dun quite understand "entitles citizens to such freedoms as are not restricted by the government, instead of absolutely guaranteeing those freedoms" though... Mean wat? Nobody including the gov can make rules to restrict ppl's speech?

Cheer up guys. If in doubt, get your IC out and read the words at the upper left corner. The flag sounds familiar? Yeap, yer certified to be living in that country. This is bolehland, and shit happens in this country when shit-brained still exists in this wonderful land of culture (VMY 2007 going to end liao now still promo meh...).

Hahaha, I learned it the hard way though...

============
Welcome to bolehland, where freedom of speech is just a metaphor. They don't mean it, really.

Certain ppl, or maybe the school teachers (older generation) do not know that we have freedom online!

but she did nothing wrong by writing the names out.
the ones that cheated should be the ones who are ashamed...
did something wrong and still go and blame the others for pointing them out.

by the way, what newspaper is it and when is it published? didn't read the news lately... =P
